# How much does a smart home cost in Dubai?

A smart home cost in Dubai depends on four things: the size of your home, whether the system is wired or wireless, whether it is a new build or a renovation, and how much you want to control. The quickest way to a real figure for your home is a home visit, after which we usually send a written quote within 2 days.

This page explains what moves the cost up or down, so the quote makes sense when it arrives.

## What makes a smart home cost more or less?

Every quote we write is built from the same few choices.

- Size of the home: more rooms mean more switches, keypads, sensors and programming time.
- Wired or wireless: a wired system needs cable to every device, while wireless uses radio and works inside finished walls.
- New build or renovation: adding cable to a finished home means opening walls, so most retrofits go wireless.
- Brands: we supply products from 18 high-end suppliers, and the keypads and switches you choose change the total.
- How much you control: most Dubai homes start with lighting, AC, and curtains and blinds, then add cameras, audio or leak sensors later.

## Wired or wireless: which suits your home?

In a finished villa or apartment, wireless is usually the simpler and less expensive route. We use Zigbee, the wireless standard we find works best in the UAE, and a wireless install usually takes a couple of days. ## DIY or professional installation?

For a small apartment, a good DIY kit may be all you need. Once you have more rooms, concrete walls between them or several systems to link together, a professionally designed system is easier to live with.

## Does the quote include cameras and Wi-Fi?

Not in our standard packages. Those cover lighting, AC and curtain control.

Cameras, the intercom and your home network are quoted together as a separate package, so you can see each part of the cost clearly.

## What happens when you book a visit?

Our engineer visits, checks your wiring, AC units and Wi-Fi coverage, and talks through what you want to control. You usually get a written quote within 2 days.
