What it controls

What a smart home controls in your home

Most Dubai homes start with lighting, AC, curtains and blinds. You can add more rooms and devices later.

  • Lighting

Scenes for evening, cinema or cleaning, set from one keypad.

  • AC

Cool rooms before you arrive and set back the ones you are not using.

  • Curtains and blinds

Motorised blinds that close against the afternoon sun.

  • Works without the internet

We can set the basics to run on the hub, the small box that runs your system.

Villas: plan it in before the walls close

In a new build villa, a wired KNX system is usually the best fit. KNX is the wiring standard most wired systems use, and its cables go in before the walls are closed. In a finished villa, wireless or a mix of both avoids cutting into walls. We look at your plans and tell you which suits your home.

Apartments: wireless upgrades without cutting walls

If you rent or are renovating, a wireless system is usually the simplest way to make your apartment smart. Motorised blinds, smart switches and a climate panel can go in without chasing cables into concrete. For a one-bedroom apartment, a good DIY kit may be all you need, and we will tell you so.

Questions people ask us first

What is KNX, and do I need it?

KNX is the wiring standard most wired smart home systems use. It suits new builds and major renovations, where cables go in before the walls close. In a finished home, wireless is often simpler, and we will tell you if it is enough.

Wired or wireless: which is more reliable?

It depends on your home. Wired systems do not rely on radio signals, which helps in large concrete villas. Good wireless systems work well in apartments and smaller homes. Our engineer checks your walls and layout before recommending either.

Will my lights and AC still work if the internet goes down?

They can. We set systems up so lighting, AC and blinds run in your home on the hub, the small box that runs your system. You only need the internet to use the app when you are away.

What does your engineer look at on the site assessment?

Your wiring, AC units, walls and layout, and what you want to control. We also ask whether it is a new build or a renovation and which brands you prefer. Then you get a written quote.

Can you work on a system another company installed?

Yes. We repair, maintain and take over wired and wireless systems other companies installed. Our engineer checks what you have first and tells you what is worth keeping.
